This Sunday takes me 70 miles south of Bedfordshire to the wonderful British eastern Surrey town of Reigte for a family christening, the venue was the charming St Mary's Church where I met the Reverend Richard Wilson who was full of joy and enthusiasm for the day ahead..
The christening was for baby Amelia who's parents were Warren and Solina who had flown in all the way from Cannes in France to share their special moment with their closest family members.
Like most medieval churches in the UK that I have photographed at, this Grade 2 listed building featured the commonly found and somewhat dimly lit carved alter, stone pillars and ornate glass stained windows, although this church did offer a bit more than 'the norm' as it featured a raised stage area that was fully kitted out for a live band with separate screened drum booth (Impressive) ready for Sunday Mass which was full from front to back with approximately 300 people for Sunday service and the christening for Amelia.
The christening went well and the family fully enjoyed their event, it was a really great to meet Warren and Solina and to photograph Amelia's special day.
